Teaching someone such an important life skill can be extremely rewarding.

To ensure that our Trainers have been trained to the highest standards we have formed a Registered Training Organisation (Orbit Training) with 5 driving schools in Brisbane and are now training new Instructors on the Gold Coast.

• The initial training is normally spread over four weeks

To qualify to be a driving instructor you must:

• Have held a current open licence for at least 5 years for the classes you intend to teach
• Undergo a Police history check, a driving history check & a medical check (If required)
• Hold a Positive Notice (Blue Card) for child related employment
• Obtain an accreditation with Queensland Transport
• Supply your own suitable late model vehicle that can have dual controls installed
• Have a Mobile phone and fax machine
• Have your own ABN Number
• Undertake a Certificate IV Course in Driving Instruction or equivalent
• The cost for the course is $3000.00 and takes approximately 4 weeks to complete
